ZGCr15 steel ball

GCr15 steel balls are one of the commonly used steel grades for bearing rolling elements and sleeve drawings. The bearing ball has excellent comprehensive performance, good cutting performance after annealing, high hardness and uniformity after quenching and tempering, high wear resistance and contact fatigue strength, and good thermal performance. GCr15 steel is the most used and produced in high carbon chromium bearing steel material and is widely used in the world.

ZGCr15 is electroslag dissolved steel, which has fewer impurities and better properties than GCr15. 

Application: Suitable for machine tool spindle bearing, high-speed rolling mill bearing, machine tool bearing.

Quality control method of steel ball

A whole set of methods have been formed for domestic steel ball quality control. The quality indicators and methods are mainly: raw material quality, size and dimensional accuracy, heat treatment hardness, metallographic structure, and surface defects. With the improvement of steel ball processing technology and processing equipment, all steel ball manufacturers can basically meet the standard requirements in terms of size, dimensional accuracy, and heat treatment hardness.

Issues that need attention:

1. Raw material quality control and material selection according to the use of steel balls.

2.Detection and control of the dimensional stability of steel balls.

3.Steel ball surface strengthening, surface stress control.

4.Detection and control of the surface morphology of steel balls.

>5.Monitoring and control of steel ball surface waviness.

6.Quality confirmation of shipped steel balls.

7.Test and Control of Contact Fatigue Life of Steel Ball.

Contact fatigue failure of steel ball

The mechanism of rolling fatigue can be roughly divided into internal-originated spalling and surface-originated spalling. Internal origin spalling is mainly caused by the origin of non-metallic inclusions under the rolling contact surface, which needs to be dealt with by improving the purity of raw materials. Surface-originated spalling is directly related to the use environment and lubrication state of the rolling bearing, as well as the surface state of the rolling contact surface (surface roughness and scars on the rolling surface). It has a shorter lifespan than internal-origin spalling and a larger proportion of bearing damage.
