Bearing grinding processing includes grinding, superfinishing, polishing, etc. This article will focus on some technologies and characteristics of bearing grinding and superfinishing.

After plastic processing and cutting processing, the finished workpiece is formed and subjected to heat treatment. First, the reference end surface is ground with a double end grinder. Then use the longitudinal feed through centerless grinder to grind the outer diameter surface of the outer ring, which can be continuously processed. After that, grinding and super finishing of the outer ring groove are performed based on the outer diameter surface of the outer ring end face. In the same way, the inner ring needs to be ground, the inner diameter surface is ground, and the inner groove is super-finished.

Then it is submitted to the assembly and inspection process.

1.1 Surface grinding

Grind both ends of the inner and outer rings with a double-end grinder. Double-end grinding is to align and assemble two grinding wheels at a specified interval, so that the ring passes between the two grinding wheels, and the two ends are finely ground with the specified size and parallelism, which can achieve continuous high-efficiency processing.

1.2 Longitudinal feed through centerless grinder

Grind the outer diameter of the outer ring with a longitudinal feed through the centerless grinder. The method is as follows: the guide wheel of the centerless grinder, the pallet and the grinding wheel support the outer ring at three points, the guide wheel rotates the outer ring, and the grinding wheel rotates for grinding.

1.3 Support block centerless grinding

The support blocks are used to support the outer diameter surface or the inner groove that has been grinding, and the end surface is attracted to a fixture called the support plate by electromagnetic force, and the outer groove or inner diameter surface is ground while the spindle is rotating. An eccentricity occurs between the center of the spindle and the workpiece (outer ring) supported by the support block, and the workpiece is stably rotated on the support block by the pushing force generated by the eccentricity and rotation. The outer diameter and outer groove can be processed according to a constant wall thickness, and the concentricity and groove roundness of the specified groove and outer diameter can be obtained.

1.4 Super finishing

Super finishing is to press the fine-grained oil stone on the rotating workpiece (such as inner and outer ring), and give a slight swing at right angles to the rotation of the workpiece to finish machining the surface of the workpiece.
