Performance and characteristics of angular contact ball bearings

Single row angular contact ball bearings are non-separable bearings, including inner ring, outer ring, steel ball and cage assembly. Cages can be made of nylon, stamped steel, brass and phenolic laminated tubing. The raceways of the inner and outer rings of single row angular contact ball bearing can have relative displacement on the horizontal axis. It is therefore designed to withstand combined loads - radial and axial loads acting simultaneously. The axial load carrying capacity of angular contact ball bearings increases as the contact angle increases.

Single row angular contact ball bearings can only withstand axial loads in one direction. When subjected to radial loads, additional axial forces will be induced, and the axial displacement of the shaft and housing can only be limited in one direction. Although this type of ball bearings can only bear axial loads in one direction, it can be combined with another bearing that bears loads in the opposite direction. If it is installed in pairs, the outer rings of a pair of bearings face the same end faces, the wide end faces the wide end face (back-to-back DB), and the narrow end faces the narrow end face (face-to-face DF), so as to avoid causing additional axial force, and Shaft or housing can be limited to axial play in both directions.
