Recently, China Nuclear Industry Mechanical Engineering Co. Ltd. successfully completed the overall hoisting of the ring suspension bridge of "Hualong No. 1" Unit. As a special slewing bearing of the core component connecting the crawler crane frame and the turntable, developed by Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd., it successfully assisted "Hualong No. 1" to realize the "zero breakthrough" in the overall hoisting of ring cranes for the first time.


The ring suspension bridge is an important part of the ring suspension. As one of the important lifting equipment for nuclear power plants, the ring crane is located on the top of the reactor building and it is used to install heavy equipment in the reactor building during the installation of equipment at a nuclear power plant. During the operation of the nuclear power plant, the ring crane is used for various lifting services required for reactor shutdown and refueling, equipment maintenance in the reactor building.

Previously, the installation of ring crane components in domestic nuclear power plants mostly adopts the process of ground assembly, data measurement and splitting, and then hoisting to the target position in sections and then installing in sections. Although this set of technology is very mature, it has many disadvantages such as high-altitude operations and high construction difficulty. The overall ring crane is a big one-45.5 meters in length, 15.2 meters in width, 8.37 meters in height, and a net weight of about 418 tons, which is the first in China.

As the first show of Zoomlion's ZCC3200NP 3200 ton crawler crane, the slewing ring is installed at the connection between the chassis and the upper car to transmit and bear the axial load, radial load and overturning moment of the upper car.

Super-heavy load, precision and safety are the features undertaken by slewing bearings in crawler cranes. In order to meet the requirements of the design team, ZYS staff improved and perfected the design method of the three-row roller combined slewing bearing, which made the designed slewing bearing more targeted and the bearing capacity is improved. At the same time, in terms of technology, through experiments, the reasonable optimization of heat treatment process parameters ensures the performance of the bearing. We adjusted the gear processing technology and introduced super-hard tool processing to ensure the gear tooth surface hardness and accuracy requirements.


Through the unremitting efforts of Heavy Bearing Division of Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd., a series of technical barriers were overcome, and the products were finally successfully delivered and used. It lay a solid foundation for the subsequent introduction of main equipment and the hoisting of the inner dome.

As the main brand of China's nuclear power, Hualong No. 1 has reached the advanced level of the international third-generation nuclear power technology in terms of safety indicators and technical performance. It has complete independent intellectual property rights and fills the domestic technological gap in China in a short period of time.
