The 26MW offshore wind turbine main shaft bearing of Luoyang Bearing Science and Technology Co. Ltd. won the 2024 "Wind Power Leader" Best Innovative Product, and the 26MW full range of gearbox bearings won the 2024 "Wind Power Leader" Best Component Product Award. Among them, Luoyang Bearing Science and Technology Co. Ltd. was the only non-host unit to win the honor of the best innovative product of the year. The main shaft bearings and full range of gearbox bearings for the 26MW offshore wind turbine were jointly developed by Luoyang Bearing Science and Technology Co. Ltd. and Dongfang Electric Wind Power, setting a new record for the world's largest single-unit capacity of wind turbine bearings and achieving independent control of key components, marking that my country's wind turbine bearing technology has reached the world's leading level.


During the development of the bearings, more than 700 design schemes were repeatedly compared, and multiple rounds of heat treatment tests and verifications were carried out. Breakthroughs were made in the research of contact fatigue life, and technical difficulties such as forward design of wind turbine bearings, anti-fatigue manufacturing of oversized bearings, and nano-level coating of parts surfaces were overcome. Through repeated trials and tribulations in the process of tackling core technologies, the reliability and stability of the bearings are ensured.

At the forum, Fan Yuqing, general manager of Luoyang Bearing Science and Technology Co. Ltd., was invited to deliver a speech entitled "Research on the Electrocorrosion Damage Mechanism and Suppression Strategy of Offshore Wind Turbine Gearbox Bearings". He made an in-depth analysis from multiple angles on the electro-corrosion damage problems encountered by wind turbine gearbox bearings in the offshore wind power field, including failure modes, sources of shaft currents, generation mechanisms of discharge phenomena, cumulative evolution of electro-corrosion damage, electro-corrosion testing techniques, and effective electro-corrosion inhibition strategies, and demonstrated the latest research results of Luoyang Bearing Science and Technology Co. Ltd. in this field.


The winning of these two awards fully demonstrates Luoyang Bearing Science and Technology Co. Ltd.'s technological innovation capabilities in the field of wind power bearings, as well as the industry's recognition of ZYS technical capabilities and products.
