Minimum load of rolling bearing in operation

In order to ensure that the rolling bearing does not slip during operation, the bearing must bear enough load. If the load is insufficient, the bearing will slip during high speed operation, which can lead to bearing damage in the case of poor lubrication.

The minimum load should satisfy P/Cr=0.01.

For bearings with radial loads, the bearing must carry a minimum load of Frmin in the radial direction. For rolling bearings with axial load, it must be ensured that the bearing bears a minimum load value of Famin in the axial direction.

Minimum load is especially important for high-speed operation. If the radial load is not large enough or absent, harmful sliding motion can occur on the rolling elements and raceways, causing the bearing to fail in a very short period of time.
