Recently, the international standard proposal ISO/NP 25260 "Rolling bearings - Insert bearing units" in the field of rolling bearings, led by ZYS, was officially established in the ISO/TC 4/SC 6 "Insert bearings" sub-technical committee.

ISO/NP 25260 was led by Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd., with participation from Dongguan TR Bearing Co., Ltd., FK Bearing Group Co., Ltd., SKF (China) Co., Ltd. and other companies. This international standard proposal is the first successful proposal of the sub-technical committee after China assumed the secretariat of ISO/TC4/SC6. The establishment of this proposal will make the work of ISO/TC4/SC6 more active. This proposal is also the fifth international standard proposal proposed and approved by China in the field of rolling bearings, marking the continued rapid development of my country's international standardization work on rolling bearings.

ISO/NP 25260 is proposed based on my country's national standards GB/T 7810-2017 "Rolling bearings - Inserted spherical ball bearings - Dimensions" and GB/T 27555-2011 "Rolling bearings - Inserted spherical ball bearings - Technical conditions", and intends to specify the types and combinations, dimensions and technical requirements of inserted spherical ball bearings. The international standard proposal was initially discussed at the ISO/TC 4/SC 6 annual meeting in May 2023, attracting the attention of relevant countries. After drafting and communicating with relevant countries and enterprises, a three-month new work project proposal vote was officially launched on May 20, 2024, which took a year. It received support from Germany, Japan, Austria, France, Russia and other countries, and was officially approved on August 26. As an important producer of insert ball bearing units, China is taking the lead in developing the international standard for insert ball bearing units. This indicates that my country's influence and voice in this product field are constantly increasing, which will help to safeguard my country's rights and interests in such products in international trade.

As the lead unit of ISO/NP 25260 and the secretariat unit of ISO/TC 4/SC 6, the Bearing Research Institute will strictly follow the work flow and requirements of ISO, grasp the time nodes of the international standard project, and organize domestic and foreign experts to jointly promote the drafting of ISO/NP 25260, and contribute China's strength to the international standardization work in the field of rolling bearings.
