As the core component of wind turbines, the 7MW offshore wind power main bearing has complex and changeable loads, high requirements on bearing reliability and accuracy, and a design life of more than 25 years. This kind of main bearing is technically difficult and has been monopolized by foreign bearing manufacturers for a long time.

Through many tests, Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co. Ltd. has continuously tackled key problems, and successively overcame technical difficulties in the optimization of bearing materials, improvement of heat treatment process, optimization of cage design and processing, and successfully developed 7MW high-power wind power spindle bearings. And it was installed and run on January 4, 2022, which solved the phenomenon that high-power spindle bearings are completely dependent on imports.

The successful development of wind power main bearing has improved the reliability design and manufacturing technology of ZYS wind power spindle bearings, and laid a technical foundation for the industrialization of high-power wind power spindle bearings.
