To continuously deepen industry-education integration and collaborative scientific innovation, as well as to propel the implementation of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee's pilot program for reform in engineering master's and doctoral education, President Zhang Ke of Shenyang University of Technology led a delegation to Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd. (ZYS) for a research and exchange visit on November 4.

The delegation was warmly received by Chen Enhou, Party Secretary and Chairman of ZYS, along with Wang Kebei, Assistant General Manager, and Zhou Pengfei, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department.

During the symposium, Chairman Chen Enhou extended a sincere welcome to President Zhang Ke and his delegation. He delivered a comprehensive overview of ZYS's history, technological innovation layout, and operational achievements. He emphasized that ZYS is the only national first-class comprehensive research institute in China's bearing industry. ZYS has consistently served at the forefront of supporting major national engineering programs.

Currently, ZYS is in a critical phase of high-quality development, giving rise to a strong demand for high-level engineering and technical talent. Chen expressed his hope to leverage the pilot program as a vital platform to further bridge corporate-academic channels, deeply integrate company research projects throughout the graduate training lifecycle, innovate joint cultivation models, and together nurture outstanding engineering talent urgently needed by the industry.

President Zhang Ke introduced Shenyang University of Technology's academic structure, talent development frameworks, and research specialties. He highlighted the deep foundation and broad opportunities for future partnership between the university and ZYS. Zhang expressed his desire to use this visit as a launchpad to expand enterprise-university synergies—focusing on joint talent cultivation, shared research platforms, and collaborative technical breakthroughs in core bearing technologies—thereby ensuring a precise alignment between talent supply and industrial demand.

Following the discussion, President Zhang Ke and his delegation toured the Special Bearings Division, the Testing & Inspection Division, and the Precision Bearings Division to observe R&D operations, manufacturing processes, and experimental validation testing for high-end bearings. Shenyang University of Technology has long served as a key institutional partner for ZYS, generating fruitful outcomes in graduate recruitment, student internships, and technical exchanges. In 2026, ZYS recruited two engineering master's candidates from Shenyang University of Technology specializing in key machine tool fields, who are scheduled to enter the company for practical engineering training in 2027. Additionally, two core technical backbones from ZYS were selected for the pilot program to pursue in-service doctoral degrees at Shenyang University of Technology.
