From May 17 to 21, 2021, the 30th Plenary Session of the International Organization for Standardization Rolling Bearing Technical Committee (ISO/TC4) and five sub-technical committees were held through a network meeting. TC4 chairman, 5 SC chairman, committee managers, ISO Central Secretariat (ISO/CS) representatives, and experts from China, Sweden, the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Austria, Russia and other countries attended this meeting. The National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rolling Bearings organized 6 Chinese delegations to participate in this meeting.

This conference involves 5 sub-technical committees (SC) and the TC4 plenary meeting, a total of 6 meetings. During the meeting, related topics such as TC4's organizational structure and external liaison were discussed; listened to the work reports of the liaison representatives of various organizations and the work progress reports since the 2019 Chiba Conference; discussed the review standard and gave the final conclusion; the next meeting schedule was determined; 36 resolutions were passed.

The Chinese delegation has advanced a number of tasks at this meeting:

The first is to advance the "Spherical Joint Bearings for Hydraulic Cylinder Rod Ends" that China has led to the committee stage; the standard number is changed from ISO/CD 12240-6 to ISO/CD 24652, no longer part of the ISO 12240 series of standards, but as an independent special bearing standard.

The second is to promote the establishment of the ISO/TC4/SC secretariat in China.

The third is that China will be awarded the right to host the ISO/TC4 plenary meeting for the third time in 2023 after 1986 and 2013.

The Chinese delegation has achieved the expected goals of this meeting. In the next step, they will continue to complete the existing tasks as planned, organize relevant domestic parties and experts, and fully participate in the ISO/TC4 international standardization work.
