Recently, the China Research Center for Scientific Evaluation at Wuhan University, in collaboration with relevant institutions, officially released the Report on the Evaluation of Chinese Applied Journals (2025 Edition). Alongside the report, the CACJ (China Applied Core Journals) directory was updated. Owing to its solid publishing quality, strong application-oriented focus, and broad industry influence, "Bearings" has been successfully selected as a CACJ China Applied Core Journal (Equipment Manufacturing category), once again demonstrating its leading position and comprehensive strength in the bearing field.

The CACJ China Applied Core Journals are evaluated every two years and represent one of the most authoritative assessment systems in China's applied journal domain. The initiative aims to establish a comprehensive evaluation framework with Chinese characteristics, guiding journals to focus on practical applications and promoting the transformation of scientific research achievements into industrial practice.

The 2025 edition builds upon the previous evaluation framework while further optimizing evaluation indicators and classification systems. It adopts comparative classification and multi-dimensional evaluation methods, and introduces the PCSR evaluation model based on the full-process knowledge service ecosystem of applied journals. The evaluation spans 17 major industry categories and 3 comprehensive categories, selecting a total of 80 authoritative applied journals, 340 applied core journals, and 458 extended applied core journals. The results are recognized for their scientific rigor, objectivity, and authority.

Over the years, "Bearings" has been deeply involved in the industry and strives for excellence. It has been included in the "Overview of Chinese Core Journals" for several consecutive years, and has been selected as a Chinese core science and technology journal and a T2-level journal in the classification of high-quality science and technology journals in the field of mechanical engineering. Its impact factor has been rising year by year, and its published papers have been repeatedly recognized as excellent scientific and technological papers in the industry.

This successful inclusion in the CACJ China Applied Core Journals not only represents strong recognition of the journal's publishing quality, academic standards, and practical value, but also affirms its significant contributions to promoting technological implementation in the bearing industry and advancing the integration of industry, academia, and research.

Moving forward, "Bearings" will remain committed to its founding mission, further strengthening manuscript quality control, enhancing its engineering application orientation, and deepening industry collaboration. The journal will continue to improve its publishing standards and industry influence, focus on cutting-edge technologies and practical demands in the bearing sector, and promote the deep integration of scientific research achievements with industrial applications—contributing to the development of a stronger bearing industry.
