On November 8th, the opening ceremony of the course "Failure Analysis of Rolling Bearings" at Henan University of Science and Technology - Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd. was successfully concluded.

Li Jubo, Party Secretary of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Henan University of Science and Technology, Cai Haichao, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Li Wenchao, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Wang Shanshan, General Manager of the Manufacturing Service Division of Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Executive Deputy Director of the National Bearing Inspection and Testing Center, attended the ceremony.

Li Wenchao led the technical team from the National Bearing Inspection and Testing Center to deliver the first lesson on "Failure Analysis of Rolling Bearings" to students majoring in bearings at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Henan University of Science and Technology. This collaborative course aims to address the bottleneck of weak practical application in domestic bearing education, precisely align with the key technical challenges in the development of the bearing industry, and comprehensively and multidimensionally help students master the core technical capabilities of bearing quality analysis and failure diagnosis by constructing a rigorous theoretical teaching system, analyzing real engineering cases, and combining precise laboratory diagnostics with hands-on practice in production lines. This will provide crucial support for cultivating high-quality professionals who can directly address complex industry problems and possess precise diagnostic and innovative problem-solving abilities.

Both Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Henan University of Science and Technology are key units in the bearing industry that were prioritized during the First Five-Year Plan period, and they share the mission of promoting the development of China's bearing industry. As the only university in China to offer an undergraduate program in bearings, Henan University of Science and Technology occupies a unique position in my country's bearing talent training system. The successful launch of this jointly developed course represents a powerful exploration by both parties to deepen industry-education integration and optimize talent cultivation models under the new circumstances.
