On July 10, 2025, the main bearing independently developed by ZYS, a subsidiary of SINOMACH, helped a 17MW direct-drive floating offshore wind turbine roll off the production line in Fuqing, Fujian. This is the world's largest single-unit power and largest wind rotor diameter direct-drive floating offshore wind turbine that has rolled off the production line.

ZYS main bearings include two sets of single-row tapered roller bearings with a maximum outer diameter of 3425mm. During the development of the bearings, a systematic contact fatigue life test of the material was carried out, and a full transmission chain simulation model was built. After repeated iterations and comparisons of more than 100 design schemes, the bearing contact angle and rolling element diameter, length, and shaping amount were optimally matched. In addition, the bearing surface coating technology was studied in conjunction with Tsinghua University, which can effectively solve the technical problems of electrical corrosion and white corrosion cracks in the main bearings, ensuring the stable operation of the 17MW direct-drive wind turbine in harsh marine environments.

In the future, ZYS will continue to accelerate the development of new quality productivity, continuously improve its independent innovation capabilities, always adhere to the strategy of "forging ZYS strengths and serving national needs", promote the deep transformation and upgrading of the industry, and help achieve the "30·60" dual carbon goals.
