On the afternoon of March 10, 2026, the Secretary-General Working Meeting of the China Bearing Industry Association (CBIA) was grandly held at the SINOMACH TDl lnternational Engineering Co., Ltd. (CMTIC). The meeting was attended by Zhou Yu, Chairman of CBIA; Niu Hui, Vice Chairman; Wang Zijun, Secretary-General; Liu Qiaofang, Han Jinke, Sun Shicheng, and Zhu Shaomin, Deputy Secretaries-General; Zhang Zhisong, Office Director; as well as the secretaries-general and principal leaders of various branch institutions. The meeting was chaired by Wang Zijun.

At the start of the meeting, Hao Hongwei, Assistant to the General Manager of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences Group Co., Ltd. (CAAMS), delivered a speech on behalf of the Planning and Development Advisory Committee. He stated that 2026 is a pivotal year for the strategic planning of the bearing industry. As the chairing unit of the CBIA Planning Committee, CMTIC has consistently aligned itself with national strategic priorities, actively participated in the industrial development framework of the 15th Five-Year Plan, addressed industry development needs, integrated into the collaborative industrial ecosystem, and continuously contributed to the high-quality development of the bearing industry.

Wang Hui, Party Secretary and Chairman of CMTIC, expressed sincere gratitude to the association colleagues for their long-standing support and contributions to CMTIC's development and the advancement of China's bearing industry. He reviewed CMTIC's evolution since its establishment in 1958, from specializing in the planning and design of bearing plants to becoming a comprehensive service provider for the entire engineering lifecycle. Wang also shared CMTIC's strategic layout in alignment with the industry's trends of "intelligent, green, and integrated" development. This layout includes four core business pillars: developing specialized consulting services for industrial research and planning, deepening lifecycle design services for bearing plants, expanding the application of advanced coating technologies in the bearing industry, and strengthening its engineering procurement construction (EPC) business. He emphasized CMTIC's commitment to serving the bearing industry and assisting in overcoming development bottlenecks.

Han Jinke conveyed the relevant directives from the Central Social Work Department and the Party Committee of the China Machinery Industry Federation regarding strengthening the construction of social organizations. Niu Hui provided an overview of the economic performance of the bearing industry in 2025, comprehensively summarized the industry's achievements and the association's work over the year, analyzed the opportunities and challenges faced by the bearing industry at the outset of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and meticulously outlined the association's key tasks for 2026. Subsequently, the professional committees of the association reported their achievements in 2025 and their work plans for 2026. The leaders of the association's Secretariat offered precise feedback on the work of each branch and provided targeted enhancement suggestions.

In his concluding remarks, Zhou Yu fully affirmed the 2025 achievements of the association's branches and acknowledged CMTIC's proactive planning and contributions to the bearing industry. He emphasized that 2026, as the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, is a critical period for the bearing industry to undergo transformation and achieve high-quality development. Zhou Yu urged the branch institutions to align their efforts with the nation's strategic needs and seize the opportunity presented by the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan for the industry. He called for the association to fully leverage its role as a bridge and link, conducting industry activities in diverse forms. On one hand, Zhou Yu stressed the importance of strengthening industry research and technological innovation, focusing on high-end equipment bearings such as robotic bearings and special process equipment for bearings, and addressing key technical bottlenecks. On the other hand, he emphasized the need to deepen industrial collaboration and international exchanges, ensuring the security and stability of industrial and supply chains. At the same time, Zhou Yu highlighted foundational tasks such as improving party-building efforts, organizational management, talent development, standard formulation, and market regulation. He called for concerted efforts to provide robust support to the government, the industry, and enterprises, unite industry forces, and collectively drive the steady and far-reaching progress of China's bearing industry on the new journey of the 15th Five-Year Plan.

This Secretary-General Working Meeting focused on the core theme of “strategic planning for the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan.” With a compact agenda, rich content, and in-depth discussions, the meeting not only unified the industry's development vision and clarified key annual tasks but also fostered a spirit of collaborative progress across the sector. All participants expressed their determination to use this meeting as an opportunity to focus on implementation, embrace innovation, and write a new chapter in the high-quality development of China's bearing industry.
