To further strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, and to jointly cultivate high-quality technical talents aligned with industrial development, a delegation from Luoyang Polytechnic, led by President Li Bao'an, visited Luoyang bearing research institute Co. Ltd. (ZYS) on November 19 for in-depth discussions and exchanges.

The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Chen Enhou, Party Secretary and Chairman of ZYS, along with Mr. Jiang Wei, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager, Mr. Wen Shanlun, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Mr. Wang Zhibin, Chief Financial Officer, and Mr. Li Wenchao, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer.

During the visit, President Li Bao'an and his delegation toured several key divisions of Luoyang bearing research institute Co. Ltd. (ZYS), including the Special Bearing Manufacturing Division, the Equipment Testing Division, and the Laboratory of Space Shafting Systems Division. They engaged in discussions with front-line employees, gaining detailed insights into product features and manufacturing processes. President Li also took the time to meet with student interns currently engaged in on-the-job training, encouraging them to cherish the opportunity for hands-on experience and to continuously sharpen their technical skills.

At the subsequent symposium, Mr. Jiang Wei provided an overview of ZYS historical development, organizational transformation, and scientific innovation achievements. He emphasized that ZYS, as a leading technology-driven enterprise in China's bearing industry, has a growing demand for skilled industrial workers. Mr. Jiang expressed the hope that both parties will continue to deepen cooperation and enhance integration between industry and education. He noted that ZYS will fully leverage its strengths in equipment, facilities, and professional talent to work hand in hand with Luoyang Polytechnic in cultivating more high-quality technical professionals for the future.

Li Bao'an expressed his appreciation for the remarkable achievements made by ZYS. He introduced the university’s history and its academic development, and stated that he hopes this exchange will serve as an opportunity to deepen cooperation between the two sides in areas such as joint curriculum development, co-editing teaching materials, order-based talent training, internship programs, and collaborative research. Together, both parties aim to build a model of industry–education integration and cultivate more highly skilled technical talents for the bearing industry.

Then Mr. Chen Enhou emphasized that ZYS is currently at a critical stage of product expansion and structural transformation under the “15th Five-Year” plan, and therefore has an urgent need for highly qualified industrial workers. He expressed gratitude to Luoyang Polytechnic for continuously sending outstanding graduates in recent years. He noted that ZYS will strive to create a strong environment for talent development, with the goal of ensuring that students “stay and thrive,” helping them quickly grow into a new force within the bearing industry and contributing to the high-quality development of China’s bearing sector.

Participants at the meeting also engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as skills training, talent development, scientific research collaboration, and the construction of practical training bases.
